great family suite but could use better amenities
The family suite offered a generous space that accommodated us well. The staff were cute.
Christmas decorations could be more elaborate.

Gorgeous and chic hotel, the idea of having apartment was great. I booked a room with an exceptionally comfortable bed, a strong WiFi and a lounge.

My favourite property in Buxton. Enchanting hotel, lovely base for 1 night in Buxton. Exceptionally comfortable beds, a work desk, a coffee/tea maker and television in the room. Location next to the centre, the Opera House and England. Also, in an excellent position.

Lots of SUPERB food for meals. Good and fab location very close to opera house for concert, easy to get around. Based really close to Buxton Baths and another beautiful park, and a lovely park and the pavilion.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was excellant.
Over the sink in the bathroom was a glass shelf which was badly placed as I cut my head on the sharp edge of the glass and had to recieve first aid.

Historical significance, Characterful rooms, Charming lounges
The hotel seriously needs a facelift!!! The communal areas looked shabby, outdated carpets were common, and some rooms were poorly cleaned. Hot water was inconsistent-definitely a disruptor for the experience!!!

The food was ok, but as a positive that is all I can offer.
Value for money was very poor, I ended up sleeping with my head at the foot of the bed as there was at least a 2 foot drop from toe to head, aggravating a serious lung condition (fluid in the lung)
